From down the streets to the
community chapel, straight into the neighbourhood where we grew up, at the
market square, along the roads, chasing moving vehicles to make sales or beg to
fill the belly for the day, on the farms and behind the company walls, at the
car park in front of the mall, on the corridors of the college where we
studied, leaning against the walls of the court room, you will see them,
running to you with items on their heads or arms stretched towards you, you
will see them, bare chested with unkempt hair and tattered clothes without
footwear, children, isn't existence supposed to be dazzling for these ones? yet
i see them every day, carrying the faults of their fathers, everyone seem to
have problems but they are definitely not our headache, are they not supposed
to be blessings unto us? have we not had sleepless nights praying to have them?
do our progenies have to bear our errors? stingy pockets introduce untimely
employment.
