AVM is Uganda’s fastest rising artist currently based in the UK where she nurtured her talents, including, singing and song writing. She started pursuing music seriously at the age of 18 after being encouraged by her Performing Arts teacher and after college enrolled in a music technology course. She started co-writing and producing pop songs with a German freelance producer.
AVM says’, “Afro Beats have been popularised in the U.K by male artists who have enjoyed top ten hits, but I think it’s time for a true African DIVA to step onto the scene. She cites Afro beats from West Africa, Afro House from Southern Africa and Kuduru from Angola as her main music influences with a fusion of the genres which she loves R&B, Hip Hop, Gospel, Ragga, Socca and even classical.
AVM has connected with top African producer on her first project a mixtape to be released at the end of 2017, she will starts work on a debut album also later this year. For now she plans to release hit after hit from her mix tape to promote her on the international Afro beats music scene.
