Our local music is not going far and it worries me that good talents may go waste!!!
Our musics don't get normal airplay in Accra! Music from the South don't cross the Sogakope bridge whiles Music from the other part never get to cross the Adomi bridge!!!
Dis no be joke! Its a reality check and I think its time we make it spiritually and physically possible for our Music and Musicians to also get normal airplay even if not equal airplay to those from Western and Ashanti.

Because if you speak of music composition, Volta Region has time and again proven to be home of Poetry, Rhythms and Creativity!!!
Our National Anthem is the handiwork of a son of our land Philip Gbeho .
Our other national song in our local Akan and Ewe language "Mia Denyigba Lorlorla" which in Akan is "Ye Nera Asasini" is also by a son of our land Ephraim_Amu.
Then reknowned National Poets in the names of the late ProfKofi_Awoonor who died on the Poetry job and ProfKofi Anyidoho who is arguably the best Poet in Ghana as at now are proud Voltarians. Lest I forget Vinoko_Akpalus whose works are known to Wikipedia.
And now in the ever growing urban culture, Most musicians with Ewe heritage have carved a niche for themselves in terms of quality music!!! Stonebwoy is a BET act! Manifest is among the best rappers in Africa! EL is Artist of the year! MzVee remains one of the all time best female acts in Ghana with 2 BET nominations in a row! Edem is one of the if not the most versatile artist in Ghana able to do any genre of music and do it properly! Worlasi Da Artist represents the future! Jojo Abot is making mad international ratings! Elikplim Akorli SirBlack Yibor Kojo Yibor and other sons of Volta have taken African Poetry (Hakpanya) to the international stage and all over!

But all this achievements and many more are not rubbing on our race and region. Volta has proven to constantly produce the quality in Ghana music and have made our Nation Proud on the international stage, but when you take a tour to Volta you would be surprised that so many raw talents haven't got the environmental push to freely promote their talent.
We need to start creating the environment to make Volta be heard. Our music must cross the Volta lake and make waves all over Ghana because Voltarians are scattered everywhere!!!

We don't have a single quality all set up recording_studio in Volta. No disrespect to the studios we have but I know we would all agree Volta Studios can barely compete in terms of equipments! We need quality studios scattered at the four corners of the region namely Ho Aflao Akatsi and Hohoe!!! We already have awesome sound engineers who would surprise you!!!
Wealthy sons and daughters of Volta must invest in the Music, Arts and Entertainment industry. They must help Youths into music, arts and entertainment as part of their social responsibilities to help build the region. We have big time oil Magnets and wealthy individuals who have expensive cars in fleets! Just the least priced car among their first 5 personal cars can build an ultra modern studio.
Our Radio stations are not helping at all! They barely play made in Volta songs! If we cant get the airplay outside the region then must we be marginalized in our own homes!!!
In Radio business people would eat whatever you selling if the packaging is good. Radio can help change the image of Volta music but what we see is DJs and Presenters waiting for payola. Or unless you want them to manage you! Smshhhhhh
All the Radio stations must seek easy sponsorship from companies who do adverts on their airwaves and organize talent grooming contests. Enough of the Politics that is never bringing change.

And I beg Volta that we living in a digital age and let someone set up a TV station and put it on one of the Multi Tv channels laa. We badly need a TV station laaa.
And the last but not the least point is that it is time Voltarians start organising Volta based shows all over Ghana. Volta has a huge number in Accra and any show with just 2 or more of the big stars like #Stonebwoy #Edem #MzVee #Manifest #EL and all our very good home stars likeVenunye Kwaku Goldberg IamKeeny GH Method Ranking Jonathan WK Segbefia Jnr Cano Z Volta Dzata Ewe Rapper Dímørmì Hecta Evuna Agbeshie Denanyaa Kush Elikem Dotty Enamily D BadCharger Eyako Icekidghana Greg WS Hockey would definitely be a sold out event anywhere in Accra!!!
