I do not know how many souls I have
touched yet; I cannot tell the number of hearts I have drawn closer to
positivity. Whatever the case may be, I am positive that, with every little
step l take, I am making lives better. Every step I take is a course to make a
change, that is why I was made. Each and every one has in him a little
something that can brighten the darkened spots of the globe. The world is made
up of thousands of hundreds of candles whose flames are blown off, but you are
fortunate to have yours still burning. Touch a candle to touch another. This is
the only way the world can become a better place for you and I. If things do
not happen like they should and the world seem to be moving in reverse, simply
pause for a while and press forward. And if you ever see the world looking
grey, be the painter to colour it. Today, people are unhappy not because of
lack of money or better jobs, but because they have not been able to figure out
the best in them. The only way you can be at peace with yourself is when you
put that priceless smile on the face of the world. And this has brought me to
the fact that almost eighty-seven percent of the world's population believe
that giving money or other things to people is the only way to make them happy.
Well, that is how it looks like. But what has happened to the paramount
importance that our maker has put in us? What are we doing with it? How
positive have you touched the world? What have you done that you can sit in
your lazy chair, and smile and say I am proud of whom I have become and the
contribution I have made to the development of our planet when tomorrow catches
up with you and you cannot do anything vigorous? Money and the other goodies
are just an exception. Growing up, I found myself interested in several kinds
of professions. I would tell you I wanted to be a doctor if you asked me and at
other times I would tell you I wanted to be a journalist. At some other point
in time you will catch me saying I want to be a pilot. I remember having
interest in teaching too. When I found myself in the acting field, I thought
that was it. I said to myself, "I am going to be the best actor
ever". All this while, I have been writing. I have been writing about
things that concerns me and what I see around, but I never thought of majoring
on it. I never knew that it is some kind of tool that the Supreme Being placed
in me to make an impact on my immediate surroundings (the world). Why am I
saying this? It simply tells you that, until you try several things, you will
not know what you can do best. I challenge you to find that little fire in you
and rekindle it to blaze and make an impact on your surrounding. You have a
purpose for which you were made, I have found mine. Search deep within you and
you will be amazed at what you will find. Bless us.
