What makes a good host for a program? For me, a good host must be able to engage the crowd, be a smart person and the top of my list; must have a great sense of humor. Last Night, GMinside the National theater, Daniel Selase (Khemikal) was the host for the historic event that took place there, DKB point of view.
I remember after the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2016, Khemikal said he believed that when comedians are given the opportunity to host big events such as the VGMA's they would do an excellent job. Well last night he was given the opportunity to host the historic event DKB point of view and with no surprise at all, he delivered beyond expectations.
Khemikal was able to arrest the attention of the audience from the start of the show and carefully drove them through the show with his outstanding great sense of humor. There was never a dull moment when he was on stage. He kept cracking the ribs of the audience even before he announces the next act to perform, which was a healthy strategy by him He even gave a song bite for the audience to know that he could be a musician if he wanted to.
He was a classic host of the night, his style was untouchable and I believe he has proven to all that comedians indeed would be better hosts for big shows held in Ghana
