A word the mind defines,
When passion ignites the sound,
And rage surrounds the center.
The deep silence of each,
In struggle to liberate
The captive souls.
The torture of pain came strong
Where to inability torture increased
And eyes saw mistreat.
Together, an identity formed;
The kind we called family.
And day-in we walked in mind.
Realities said death was allowed
And naked they eloped.
But willing, some gave up
Helpless in hope crowned their abilities
With strength in thought
Injustice continued.
Years brought profit
And the masters of trade rejoiced
But enlightenment rose elites
Where a voice to abolish renewed the songs
To yesterday emerged Hope,
In faith to rescue many.
Tricks and tactics saw possible,
The hopes of men
And history, it is today;
The slavery of Blacks
Where knowledge to impact is necessary
And Slavery we forever pray to return not.
