5 most useful Social Networking Services In Ghana


When it comes to social media patronization in Ghana, here five most used social media in ghana and the purpose of which they are used for.

1. Facebook
In Ghana Facebook is the most used social media, especially by the youth. Here are some of the reasons why most of the youth between the ages of 16-28 spend most of their time on facebook hence becoming so addictive to it.To commence with most of the youths go there to make friends, have fun and discover new cultures,however, some of them tend to spend most of their time there looking for friends whom they might not even meet in their lifetime.
To add to this most of them are determined to make money out of every single minute that they spend online. This is done through advertising of their products, events , for the bloggers getting of traffic through the sharing of the links. Facebook is a very good platform for doing business hence will edge the other youths to stop wasting their prestigious time just scrolling through facebook post  and make something out of every single minute they waste on facebook.
To some Facebook is just a platform for sharing their pictures, audio, and videos.

2. Whatsapp
Whatsapp is the second largest most used social media in Ghana. When it comes to WhatsApp, both the adult and the youths have become the victim of it. Some have upgraded versions and performs to human satisfaction due to technology. Years ago, communication was a thorough headache but currently introduced as the fastest way of hand to ear communication. Globally, WhatsApp becomes the most affordable social media now in Africa as well and serving millions of users. Generally, it has many features such as sending of documents, sharing of pictures and music, group chats and more. Even though it has disadvantages, we still rate over other social media

3. Twitter has become the third most used social networking service in ghana. Twitter is a networking service that enables users to read and send shorts messages of 140 characters which are called tweets. This is mostly used by the youths in ghana to gain popularity and make money out of it. To those that have larger following tend to enjoy more contributions on their tweets and have fun.


4.IMO is a lucrative video and chat app which is more useful in the life of Ghana. It has both video and audio features which are optional in terms of making calls. Though IMO app is cheap and easy to afford, it can  also be  said to be a consumable data app. Unlike in Ghana, where many ISP’s (Internet Service Provider) allocate a quantity of data to it. One of the advantages of IMO is, it has a faster rate of displaying an ethical video content with a clear voice. We may also say, due to its data consumption that might be its disadvantage.
