MOTHER By AGNES P. E. KATTAH.

Career, her desire,
But I she longed for,
Happenings turned down opportunities.
Patiently, she nursed to nurture,
Excitedly, she endured the pain.
Into a world, she gave a gain
Where I could begin.

Challenges of "how to",
Gaved way to a cloud of fear
But casting back, I allow to hear;
The very joy of growth.
Where massive attention and care I refuse to throw,
Yet in hope, she hoped to turn hope into me.
Where I, saw me a model.

Lovingly and joyfully, I saw 18,
Where decisions wave at me.
A feeling of independence ignored the beauty of yesterday.
But with errors and flaws at the door;
"Mother," "I am grateful" I write.
