THE TEARS OF AN AFRICAN BY: GABLA GODWIN
Days bleeding with worries
Nights cursed with tears
The power of money
The death of joy,
Characterized by:
The demise of hope.
Amidst the struggle for
Survival
The tasteless tears of the widow
The protruded eyes of the orphan,
Owing to the barrels of tears that
Rained from those balls.
Their rumbling bellies
Sing hunger
The joy of the rich man,
Who swims in the
Power of riches.
What drains the hope
Of an African soul,
Down the pits of
self-destruction.!
When shall we learn?
Learn to help the needy?
The selfish rich man
Tell him, he's a poor rich man!
Hmmmmmm....But Who hears?
The cry of an African!
